A large house overlooking the Long Jetty lake has been sold to a family in Sydney for $ 1.2 million, where a new street plate for Anzac Rd was created.
According to RP Data, 2 Anzac Rd had been on the market for 240 days with two different agents. It was eventually sold by Scott Falconer of McGrath Long Jetty, who said that sellers had to reduce their price expectations a little.
"The owners wanted $ 1.3 million, and I even had a previous $ 1.25 offer that they knocked back," said Mr. Falconer.
"The property did not have a garage, which was a deal breaker for many buyers. But it was the ultimate cottage."
The property was located on a 1,208m² block with a large pool, open plan, landscaped gardens, ducted air conditioners and plantation shutters.
Mr. Falconer said that the property was bought by four sydney sisters who plan to use it for themselves, and rent it as a holiday home.
"It only costs them $ 300,000 each and they have a beautiful property," he said.
"The sellers were happy at last because they want to cut down, and can now focus on finding something perfect. They have a delayed settlement period, so they can now spend the time."
The previous street record at Anzac Pde was number 47, which was sold in July last year for $ 1.05 million.
