It was not the first time that Splendor in the Grass tickets were sold out in an hour, but this year the frenzy went to another level.
Splendor in the Grass organizers confirmed with Northern Star that all 2018 event tickets are now out of stock.
Demand was high after Kendrick Lamar, Lorde and Vampire Weekend were announced as this year's headlines.
Many fans went to social media to express their frustration with the system and buy problems, following the online booking system, via Moshtix, placed buyers in a greenroom queue.
Some Twitter users reported getting a "ticket distribution exhausted" alarm for three-day tickets only 10 minutes after tickets officially went on sale at 9
. The festival will be held from 20 to 22 July in North Byron Parklands.
Byron residents have also expressed anger at the way in which president tickets are run locally after complainants were forced to queue for seven ho urs.
Splendor general manager Elise Huntley said that the demand for tickets in local sales was the biggest event ever seen.
"We predicted that it would be popular and put on additional sales staff, but an unprecedented number of people showed up," she said.
No tickets? Do not panic
If you missed this morning, do not panic yet.
Resale where people who managed to buy tickets but now can not participate in the festival can sell their tickets, will take action via Moshtix from 9.00 on May 11th. This is the only place to buy legitimate Splendor tickets.

Organizers have asked musicians not to buy tickets from online auction and sales outlets or social media.
Splendor tickets include name and date of birth of the buyer. This is checked against ID at the festival port.
There is no facility available that allows a ticketholder to change the name and date of birth of a ticket and transfer it to another person.
