The wildly popular DJ Avicii was photographed on a yacht with friends one day before he died.
TMZ said the boat was outside the coast of Muscat, the capital of Oman, where the 28-year-old-named Tim Bergling – was on vacation.
The Swedish musical talent makes peace sign and drinks in one hand. It is unknown if the drink contained alcohol, something Bergling had struggled with an addiction to at times.
His elder brother David flew to the Middle East to find out what he killed. The police said crime was not suspected. No cause of death was released.
Avicii, who made $ 250,000 a night when he was touring, had serious medical problems.
The gallbladder and appendix of the Grammy nominee was removed in 2014.
He also suffered from acute pancreatitis
In 2016, he announced that he should no longer travel.
"I'm blessed to travel around the world and perform, but I have too little back for the life of a real person behind the artist," he said at that time.
In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter he explained his decision to retire from touring.
"To me, that was something I had to do for my health," he said.
"The scene was not for me. It was not showing and not music. It was always the other things that surround it that never came naturally to me."
"All other parts of being an artist. I'm more of an inverted person in general.
"It was always very difficult for me. I took too much negative energy, I think."
In a frequently discussed interview with GQ Magazine, Avicii described his alcoholism that led to acute pancreatitis due to being " so nervous "and" a habit (drinking) because you rely on the encouragement and self-confidence you get from alcohol, and you depend on it. "
