Windmill Theatre’s new show Baba Yaga to premiere at Edinburgh International Children’s Festival

WINDMILL Theater is designed to weave more magic worldwide.

The small Adelaide company has been given the task of creating a new job for the next month's Edinburgh International Children's Festival.

Baba Yaga is a modern take of an ancient Russian folk saga about a witch

It is a contribution of windmill artistic director Rosemary Myers with Scottish actor Shona Reppe and Queensland-performs Christine Johnston, by Kransky Sister's fame.

The show ends with Windmill's other international attractions Rumpelstiltskin which will be performed at London's Southbank Center in December-January and Pinocchio who made his New York debut in 2015.

I Baba Yaga plays Reppe Vaselina, a young woman, to achieve "three impossible tasks" to escape the witch's house in the forest.

"We have tried to put it into what we could describe as a" retrospective "world," said Reppe.
