Shez All Rock sold to American interests but show goes on at Melton for Mark Pitt

The young Victorian rider Mark Pitt just had his own version of "the money or the box".

Not long after the Pitts Buzz filly Shez All Rock won NSW Oaks at the end of February, Yanks offered $ 200,000 for her. 19659003] "I said if they went a little higher we would take it. They came back with $ 220,000 and I said you have a deal," he said.

"I've seen so many good young horses either hurt or not go on work and for a young guy like me, this was a life-changing offer."

The offer became even better the new owner, the American-based former kiwi rider Chris Ryder said that the fill would stay with Pitt too much of this season.

Pitt trained and drove her to win the fastest and most impressive of the three Victoria Oaks heat in Melton on Saturday night.

Shez All Rock, who has six wins and one second from just seven starts, is TAB's $ 2.80 pre-draw favorite for the $ 150,000 Oaks final in Melton Friday night.

"She handles the deal to NZ to Mark (Purdon) and Natalie (Rasmussen) for NZ Oaks and Harness Jewels, but then she returns to me for the Vicbred series and Breeders Crown," said Pitt. "Chris (Ryder) said she might even stay with me in her four-year season."

Currently, Pitts Focus has been finalized, which has proven to be very scary double and adds Victoria Oaks to his NSW Oaks title.

Amazingly Bob and Vin Knight's former Tasmanian fool Jane Ellen was the last to win twice back in 1989.

Newest superstar Frith went close to 2013 when he was second in NSW Oaks before he won Victoria Oaks.

"She still has only one handful running really and she's green. Each race is a learning curve and it was the same the other night when I really buzzed her at first for the first time. Like everything else she handled it good, "he said.

"Molly Kelly really worked for me for the first 500m or so and tested me, but then I got a little breath before Nostra Villa came around and I thought" I ran a run on my hands but the fill made it easy . "

Oaks barriers are drawn on Tuesday.

" I want a good move, but she's so good and improving all the time so I think she's the one to beat everyone barrier, "said Pitt.
