Bruce Highway traffic Elimbah: Major delays northbound

POLICE is not yet located residents of a single-wagon assembly at Bruce Highway in Elimbah tomorrow morning after the collapse.

Divers have SES volunteers have been called to search for waters around the Six Mile Creek Bridge, Sunshine Coast Daily reports.

Police media say the vehicle is on its side in a ditch 300m south of the Steve Irwin Way exit.

The dives are employed to ensure that the residents are not in nearby water. At this stage it is a preventative action.

Long-term delays are expected for motorists with a return of at least eight kilometers.

The police's media specialist does not expect another path to be reopened for two hours while they search in the area.
