A motorcycle rider has died just days after suffering serious head injury in a two-vehicle accident at Glenorchy.
The man who drove a black Yamaha motorcycle was taken to Royal Hobart Hospital by ambulance after the breakdown at 18:15 on Sunday.
In a brief statement issued this morning, the Tasmanian police said the man was dead.
"Unfortunately, the police can confirm the 20-year-old male motorcycle rider who was injured in a crash on  Tolosa Street, Glenorchy, on Sunday, April 22, has died as a result of his injuries, Senior Counselor Kelly Cordwell said in a statement
Earlier this week, the police said the motorcycle had collided on the head with one then in the opposite direction along Tolosa St.
He was taken to hospital in a critical condition with significant head injuries.
The woman who drove the car, got minor injuries and was treated on site by Ambulance Tasmania staff.
