Brumbies winger Chance Peni cited for high shot on Crusaders star Israel Dagg

BRUMBIES winger Chance Peni faces a suspension after being quoted for allegedly mistaken play during the Super Rugby fight against the Crusaders.

The former Force player was sent to the Sindbak in the first half for a high battle on the Crusaders' Israel Dagg, which was taken from the ground and failed a major injury assessment.

The citing commissioner thought that Peni should have received a red card for the incident by reviewing the match.

The nature of the offense is that a player can not tackle an opponent dangerously.

Peni will meet SANZAAR-foul play review committee via video conference at 5pm (AEST) on Monday.

Brumbies lost the game 21-8 and fell to fourth in the Australian conference with a 3-6 post.
